New beds for 2018
As part of our continuing improvement strategy based on customer feedback we are pleased to inform you that our guests will now enjoy the comforts of a Myers back care king size bed in the master bedroom.
The guest bedroom has also had a face lift and now contains a quality double bed.
A fold away bed is still available on request for a fifth guest .

Based on our customer feedback we have made some significant changes to our booking and cancellation charges which are now probably rank alongside the best available in the industry (and are significantly better for the customer than any offered by our agents).
A deposit of only £50 is required to secure a booking, irrespective of the length of the booking.

Each year holiday homes, B&B’s, hotels and other accommodation are independently graded. In December 2017 The Briar Rose was reviewed by an independent agent and awarded a four star listing (same as 2016). All aspects of the property were awarded 4 stars except the kitchen diner which was awarded 5 stars. This is a high quality property for a very reasonable price – so much more than a hotel
Upgraded broadband to a fast 55 MBS
Great news. BT have finally upgraded the broadband network in the area. From January 2018 guests at the Briar Rose will now be able to access the internet at lightning fast speeds allowing excellent data streaming and conferencing connections.

The Briar Rose Holiday Accommodation – Renovation
In December 2015 work began on renovating the property to get it ready to bring to the market as a holiday let. The Kitchen and garage were demolished and the interior of the house guttered. The garage was re-built and a new larger kitchen was built incorporating part of the patio. On tying the new kitchen roof into the main roof, issues were identified resulting in a new being roof put on The new gas boiler relocated into the garage and the entire house was rewired and ne plumbing installed. All walls and ceilings were plastered and or skimmed, and the entire house decorated with new flooring and carpets being laid. All work done was inspected and passed as good and certificates issued. Finally in July 2016 the patio was laid and the drive was widened to enable easier parking.
